Community Programs

Serving Lake Minnetonka and the surrounding communities in MN for 34 years

Minnetonka Area is centered in the Minnetonka School District. We also serve other school districts surrounding our area such as Wayzata and Eden Prairie.

Cities included with the school district are all or part of the following communities: Minnetonka, Deephaven, Greenwood, Excelsior, Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Shorewood, Tonka Bay, Victoria and Wayzata.

Location: 3 suburbs west of Minneapolis, MN

Demographics: Very diverse, from extremely wealthy to welfare subsidized housing. The area is generalized as very well to do with Lake Minnetonka and all that huge lake has to offer in recreation, dining etc.

Diversity of towns: Minnetonka is a sprawling suburb (50,000 population) with a big mall (Ridgedale) as well as all the other things associated with an affluent suburb, parks, recreation, lots of shopping and places to eat as well as the negatives of interstate highways and traffic.

Excelsior is a small town (1,800 population) with the picturesque 3 block downtown seen all over America. The city grew out to meet the sleepy resort town of the 1st half of the 20th Century. Excelsior use to be where folks from Minneapolis went to their cabins. Many of those cabins are now contained with bigger homes in town and on Lake Minnetonka. Excelsior has kept its small town feel with Bed & Breakfast, parades on holidays, annual festivals and special events in the park such as "Art in the Park" or weekly concerts in the Bandshell on the shores of Lake Minnetonka.
